Story:
Left of Joseph Statue
Once ordained, Clement was sent to Warsaw, Poland. There, he and his friend Thaddeus became pioneers, establishing the Redemptorist Order north of the Alps. Amidst political turmoil and hardship, they ministered to the people, opening schools for orphans and tending to the sick and poor. Clement's fervent preaching and compassionate guidance resonated with many, including intellectuals and those who had drifted from the faith.
Eventually, the Napoleonic authorities suppressed their work, forcing Clement to leave Warsaw. He then relocated to Vienna, where he spent his final years as a spiritual director and confessor, making a profound impact on the city. He became known as the "Apostle of Vienna," working tirelessly to rekindle the Catholic faith amidst challenging times. Clement's unwavering faith and dedication to serving others, despite countless setbacks, continue to inspire. The story of Clement reminds people that even when faced with adversity, new possibilities can be found, and the message of Christ's love can be carried to those around us.
